PDP Crisis: Jonathan, 10 Trusted PDP Governors, Tukur In Closed Door Meeting

jonathan_loyalists_0As part of moves to quickly resolve the political impasse that led to the emergence of a faction of the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP on Saturday, President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday night held a meeting with governors considered to be loyal to him.

The meeting which commenced at 9:15pm inside the First Lady’s conference room at the State House, Abuja, was attended by 10 governors, Political Adviser to the President, Ahmed Gulak; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim; PDP National Chairman, Bamanga Tukur; and the newly elected Deputy National Chairman, Uche Secondus.

The governors are Isa Yuguda (Bauchi), Idris Wada (Kogi), Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta State),  Mukhtar Ramalan Yero (Kaduna), Gabriel Suswam (Benue), Theodor Orji (Abia), Liyel Imoke (Cross River), Henry Dickson (Bayelsa), Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom) and Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe).

As soon as the meeting commenced, journalists were asked to leave as the meeting was said to be ‘private.’

Meanwhile, a meeting earlier scheduled for Tuesday between the aggrieved PDP governors and Mr. Jonathan has been rescheduled for a later date.

  1. why do d president and other governors refused to allow journalist to be present ? are u going to discuse some thing that will not stimulate development to the country?oh u our leaders u should fear god who created u from clay and remember that every soul must taste death and u will be account for your action good or bad and u will be rewarded or punished base on what u deed.

  2. The decision we make today determines our tomorrow. The actions or inactions of a man will either be regretted or appreciated.
