Lewandowski to Sign Bayern Pre-Contract in January.

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski has confirmed he will sign a pre-contract agreement with Bayern Munich in January 2014.

Lewandowski agreed to see out the remaining 12 months of his Dortmund contract in the summer after revealing his desire to follow in the footsteps of his former colleague Mario Gotze to switch to the Bavarian giants.

The 25-year-old has reportedly already agreed terms on next summer move to the Allianz Arena and had no reservations in making himself clear when asked by German SPORT1 television channel whether he could announce his switch to Bayern.

“Yes, because then I can officially sign a contract,” the Poland international responded.

Lewandowski, who scored 36 goals for Dortmund last season, was a key member of the coach Jurgen Klopp’s team that reached the final of the Chamopions League and were runner-ups in the Bundesliga, losing both titles to rivals Bayern Munich.

Dortmund were unwilling to let the striker leave for Bayern in the summer, despite the German champions’ bid for the Pole.

He later agreed to end the final year of his contract with the Westfalenstadion outfit, at which point he is allowed to part ways with the club he joined from Lech Poznan in 2010.

Leandowski has scored four goals so far this season to help Dortmund to the top of the Bundesliga on 16 points (same points with Bayern) after 6 games.
