APC Will Resist Attempts To Rig 2015 Election – Party Chieftain

APC-LogoChief Ngutor Anyam, an APC chieftain in Benue, on Tuesday vowed that the party would resist any attempt to rig the 2015 elections.

Anyam made the declaration while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Makurdi.

He said that the party planned to station 10 agents in each polling unit to guard against efforts to manipulate the electoral process.

Anyam said that part of the strategy was directed at making all members of the APC equal stakeholders.

He said that the approach was aimed at ensuring that the party members contributed their quota to the party’s progress.

“No single member of the APC will be allowed to fund the party solely because it is not a one-man affair, as it is done by other political parties.

“This is to forestall a situation where moneybags, who fund the party, will be dictating to it what is to be done in order to achieve their selfish objectives,” he said.

Anyam stressed that all the members of the party would be rated the same, regardless of their financial status.

“With this, I am sure we will certainly take over the state as well as the entire country,” he said.

He, however, advised the citizens to refrain from going into politics for the sole aim of making money, stressing that such posture was not healthy for democracy (NAN)
