APC Governors Declare Support For PDP Faction

APC GovsThe rancour in the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which came to a head on Saturday with the emergence of a parallel executive of a faction made up of a former vice-president, former governors and about seven serving governors, has been described by the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) as “a necessary and inevitable result of repressive rule of the PDP”.

The PGF, made up of governors under the banner of All Progressives Congress (APC), in a statement yesterday, declared their support for the action of the seven PDP governors and other leaders of the ruling party to create a faction.

The statement said: “Recent events, first with the orchestrated crisis in the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), suspension and expulsion of PDP leaders, including serving governors, without fair hearing and complete demonstration of lack of tolerance and respect for different opinions, are signposts of crisis that should unavoidably result in the split of any organisation.

“The PGF commends the courage and resilience of the Abubakar Baraje-led PDP and, in particular, congratulates all the serving PDP governors for standing up to be counted among patriotic political leaders of Nigeria. It must no doubt be a conscious decision that must have been borne out of commitment to make all the sacrifices needed to rescue our dear nation from the current reign of terror and bad governance.

“As serving governors too, we are ready to support, work with our colleagues in partnership and solidarity with the goal of facilitating accelerated human development by embracing policies and programmes to improve quality of life of all Nigerian citizens, eradicate poverty and create jobs in the country. We are under no illusion that our reality as a nation today calls for both intra and inter party networking.

“We are, therefore, ready to transform our relationship with all serving governors irrespective of our partisan differences, in order to move our dear country, Nigeria, forward.

“Nigeria has outlived all dictatorships in the past and will definitely outlive any present or latent, manifest or potential dictatorship.”

    • There is need we seek reconciliation than thinking we can do it alone because as you speak you have only one vote and can not at the same time be in there state on the day of election and they either rig in favor of opposition since PDP is no longer there place of interest so try to know that in politics there is no permanent friend but interest so lets be mindful of haw we express our view

  1. Atiku and the 7 other Governors are all oppositions seek power for selfish reasons alone creating mayhem in the nation with some few others who they employed and pay to parade them falsely and and fingers on the Presidency for their own evils committed in the Country. They the Governors should teach each other how to resolve unemployment situations in their states as friends and also strengthen their state educational sector, roads, transport,Agricultural, empowerments, security, water, electricity and LGA’s. Before coming to the public to mislead the masses. How many of them can show us a living evidence of their positive effect of their project on the masses. Atiku your own is so glaring to the nation and our economy you looted few years ago to buy your empire you own today within the country and overseas no man is born to be a slave for ever. The just are about to live by faith so accept it now or leave politics because God have intervened for nigeria.

  2. Governor Amaechi are just meant to be an impostor? We have never seen any group agreements you have ever reached for the state that we are benefiting from today. Your sole aim is to acquire from the people with or without their approval. Any day they rise to stop your impunity you apply intimidation on them that’s why Police refused being a tool for your slavery that’s how he became a problem to you and your plans shame on you. You better start saving to pay back to Rivers state Govt for your Mono rail, Bombardier jet etc fraud soon

  3. What is wrong with having faction in PDP? Infact, nigerians are totally disenchanted with their style of governance. Look at our academic institutions, fast dwindling, whole there are busy sharing bags of money amongst themselves, even our docile legislative arms.Let faction remain tall in our political bidings.

  4. wow, i m very happy about this great achievement. Please my fellow Nigerians look into the current problems we are facing today, just because of a deadly party call PDP.Look at the issue of ASUU and ASUP strike action, rate of unemployment, rate of insecurity, the fast growing rate of corruption, money laundering, poor academic/teaching aids, poor electricity supply, poor road, poor standard of living, poor medical facilities, high rate of illiteracy, All that i have listed above are the work of PDP,and that is what we are seeing since 1999,And you still want PDP to rule us? Is it because Mr President is from Niger-Delta or what? Please if you don’t know what PDP had at heart, let me tell you.PDP promise to rule or better still kill the poors for 50years and with the current problems we are facing you still have the God’s to mention that name that is straight from devil. If you want Mr President to rule again, let him change party, i m ready to vote for him if only he is not in PDP by the year 2014/2015 General Election. Here is one advice to Mr President, Sir, with due respect i advice that you pick Mall.Aminu Tambuwal as the president and you as the vice again in 2015 general election, but then in different party not PDP again.Thank you,pls reread my comment one’s more. 5. First of all, Nigeria as wee see it today was only an idea of our colonial masters. There was never a time when our leaders came together to think about the idea of a “one Nigeria”.Our problem started as far back as Richards constitution where politics became a game of the Elites.Where our colonial masters made it mandatery that our frontline elites that has interest in politics must have an income of at least a 100 pounds.
What is that trying to tell us? From the Genesis of this country, we have been under the rule of an opportuned few that are called the “haves”.Why would we not still be under them when the foundation of this country has been woven by fabrics of lies and deceit…….
The above political stage act by our so-called leaders is nothing but a movie for innocent Nigerians to watch while they suck us dry……….
As a political analyst in training, I hold a strong believe that politics in this country has been a game played by the rich in the same round table, where they decide our lives..
Can we all agree to the fact thay Nigeria has been under the rule of the same class of people since independence?.
We all should think for ourselves, for our children, for the next generation.
    Nigerians act fast!!!!!!!!!!!!
