Enyimba saw off Warri Wolves 5-4 on penalties at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday after scores were leveled at two goals apiece at the blast of the full-time whistle.

Abalogu, who moved from ABS to Enyimba earlier in the season in a deal believed to worth N10m, said his decision has paid off almost immediately but wants more, having the league title in sight.

“I’m the happiest person on earth right now,” Abalogu said. “I came to Enyimba to win trophies and almost immediately I’m a Cup winner, we’ll take our dream for double to the league.

“Warri Wolves are a good side, they actually gave us a scare as we trailed behind on two occasions. We never in our widest dream believed we would be stretched to penalty shootout, we thank God we survived the battle.”
