33-Yr-Old Man Beats Girlfriend Mercilessly, Attempts Defiling Her

A 33-year-old man, Olasunkanmi Ikuomola has been remanded in prison by an Abeokuta Chief Magistrate’s Court, Ogun State,  for beating his girlfriend to a state of stupor.

The accused man ,who lives at 28 Ori-Iyarin Agbeloba in Abeokuta, was arraigned on a two-count charge of attempted rape and assault, but no plea was taken.

Inspector Banji Sangotokun, the Police Prosecutor told the court that the offence was committed at the accused house on the  5th of August at 6:18p.m.

He said that the accused attempted to rape the woman and in the process beat the said girlfriend (names withheld) to stupor.

According to the Inspector “The accused and the lady had been chatting on Black Berry for a while and had been intimate.

“Ikuomola invited her to his house and when she got there, he locked the door and started beating her mercilessly, forcefully removing her pants and bra.

“It was the neighbors that heard her screams and came to her rescue. They broke the door of the accused apartment.”

Neighbors met the said girlfriend badly beaten, lying naked and unconscious on the floor, according to the prosecutor.

A man currently trending online after claiming to be a Nigerian soldier has come out to condemn the shooting of protesters by military men.

In a video that has gone viral, the man who did not give his name and neither did he hide his face, said he cannot stand by and watch as people kill his brothers and sisters whom he left behind to fight Boko Haram.

”You can’t be killing my brothers and sisters. I left them behind to find Boko Haram. You can’t be killing them and you want me to have joy. I don’t have joy in this country. Whatever the youths are doing I am in support of them.
