Job description Process/Control & Instrumentation Engineer
- Designing and developing new control systems
- Testing, maintaining and modifying existing systems;
- Analysing data and presenting findings in written reports
- Managing operations; working collaboratively with design engineers, operation engineers, purchasers and other internal staff; liaising with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant authorities
- Analyse existing facilities in Client O&G and propose process improvements, debottlenecking, upgrades to efficiently decrease operations costs and enhance productivity/efficiency of plants / equipment.
- Economical evaluation of opportunities proposed
- Review and develop philosophies and specifications in the field of expertise for Client E&P
- Approve key engineering documentation and philosophies, standards and specifications
- Consider and approve / reject as appropriate any request made to deviate from the approved minimum standards
Requirements Process/Control & Instrumentation Engineer
- Degree in Automation engineering / Process Control / Instrumentation
- 8 years + experience in the Oil & Gas / E&P industry
- Extensive knowledge of relevant standards, norms and regulations
- Experience in conceptual design studies, FEED, detail design, especially for brown field developments
- Cognate Experience some (say 2-4 years) of which must have been in Facilities engineering.
- IT knowledge and exp. In relevant engineering software applications
- Knowledge of the local environment and operations is an advantage
