Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of Operability, Reliability & Maintainability Superintendent located in Escravos, Nigeria through September 20, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

This position provides operations leadership and oversight for all Nigeria Mid-Africa/ Chevron Nigeria Limited Capital Projects. Provides overall management of operations and maintenance support for the development and seamless transition of major capital projects that meets and exceeds goals.

Provides overall management of operations and maintenance support for the development and seamless transition of major capital projects that meets and exceeds NMA SBU goals.
Will be communicating overall projects goalsobjectives and outcomes between Partners and Nigeria Mid-Africa Management
Establish the critical few priorities and high impact areas of focus. Effectively ties individual goalsobjectives to work unit goalsobjectives
Vigorously manage national employees to assume nationalized expat Ops Reps positions within a specific time frame.
Provide clear, specific suggestions for improvement.
Utilize available tools to evaluate creative alternative solutions.
Provide recognition for individual and team success.
Champion Chevron Tenets across multiple areas of responsibility.
Facilitate information flow and decision making processes between the Design and Operations groups.
Think strategically by taking a long term view/perspective of the business.

Develop appropriate organizational capabilities to support MCPs.
Utilize BP and newemerging technologies.

Required Qualifications:

HIgh school diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 15 years of related oil and gas experience.
Extensive and diverse knowledge of the Oil field Operations, Construction, PE activities etc.
Experience in Operations Assurance process, CPDEP, design review, procedure development, Commissioning / Start up
Ability to supervise and mentor O&M Reps in multiple projects.
Ability to develop and execute O&M training programs and procedures.
Ability to review and understand detailed engineering drawings (PFD, P&ID, SAFE charts etc.), Equipment Layout, Safety in Design practices and Human Factors Engineering.
CSOC Supreme certified, fluency in DRB rolesfunctions and particularly quality decision making.
Ability to facilitate the flow of information and decision making processes between Project teams and Operations groups.
Knowledge of SOP’s, OE elements and Operations Assurance processes.
Ability to determine assignments, schedules, and timelines for project activities.
Ability to properly prioritize projects activities and resources.
Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
Fluency in the utilization of Microsoft Office suite.
Knowledge of SOP’s, OE elements and Operations Assurance processes.
Able to communicate overall projects goalsobjectives and outcomes between Partners and NMA Management.
Ability to create awareness of potential project issues.
Ability to communicate consistently and effectively in all directions.
Able to assemble and direct teams at multiple locations.
Ability to work multi-disciplined project teams to ensure future facilities meet operability, efficiency, reliability and safety goalsobjectives of the JV Operations.
Commitment to Operational Excellence (OE) and safe work practices. OE certification.
Ability to plan, coach and mentor employees.

Preferred Qualifications:

Broad based operational experience across operations disciplines in both supervisory and managerial roles.
CSOC Supreme certified, fluency in DRB rolesfunctions and particularly quality decision making.
Ability to lead the development of cost-effective solutions to unique and complex operations problems.
Fluency in OEMS processes to achieve world-class performance
Familiarity and utilization of the “Ops Rep Multilevel Competency” process to develop Ops Reps.

Relocation Options :
