Tale of Riches and Loss: Man Gets $92 Quadrillion in Error

Online payments broker PayPal has admitted it erroneously credited a man with $92 quadrillion. Chris Reynolds, 56, of Pennsylvania, found the amount when he opened his monthly statement.

“This was obviously an error and we appreciate that Mr Reynolds understands this was the case,” PayPal said in a statement.

The online money-transfer firm said it would offer to make a donation to a charity of Mr Reynolds’ choice.

The $92,233,720,368,547,800 statement had been “quite a big surprise”, Mr Reynolds told the Philadelphia Daily News, which first reported the story.

“I was skeptical,” the 56-year-old told the Los Angeles Times of his staggering windfall. “And my skepticism was validated within two minutes.”

When Reynolds logged into his PayPal account, his balance was back to where it was supposed to be: $0.

Though his onetime riches have vanished, Reynolds says he’s pretty sure he knows what he would’ve done with the money had he been allowed to keep it.

“I’m a very responsible guy,” he told the Philadelphia Daily News. “I would pay the national debt down first. Then I would buy the Phillies, if I could get a great price.”

Yul Edochie calls for Buhari's resignation

Popular actor turned politician, Yul Edochie, who had signified interest to contest the presidency in the forthcoming elections in 2019 has called for the resignation of President Buhari.

He made the call via his Twitter handle on Monday afternoon, October 19.

According to Yul, President Buhari was very vocal during the Goodluck Jonathan administration and called for the resignation of the former President on the basis of poor performance.

He opined that President Buhari has performed worse than Jonathan, therefore he should resign from office.
