Senate Suspends Plenary Today As Mark Of Respect For Departed Senator Ewherido

Senate president, David Mark on Monday suspended today’s plenary session as a mark of respect for the late Senator Pius Akpo Ewherido, who passed away on Sunday.

Senate-412

Mark made the assertion when he led the Delta State Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan and a host of senators to the residence of the late Delta Central Senate in Asokoro, Abuja, on a condolence visit.

“In line with our tradition and as a mark of respect for our departed colleague, the senate will suspend plenary tomorrow (today). We share in your bereavement, pains and sorrows at this moment of grief,” Senator Mark told the departed Senator’s wife, Doye.

He encouraged members of the Ewherido family to continue to have faith in God.
