Super Eagles forward Nnamdi Oduamadi has joined Serie B side Brescia on a season-long loan deal from AC Milan.

The 22-year-old, who has scored four goals for Nigeria in seven appearances, has dropped down one division from Italy’s top flight so as to play regular football.

Prior to the Confederations Cup, Odu featured for another Serie B side Varese, where he scored 2 goals in 16 appearances and was at Torino in the 2011/12 season.

He told goal.com that the move was prompted by his desire to seal a place in the Super Eagles squad for the 2014 World Cup.

“… Brescia have been after me for the past two months so I am glad to be joining them.

“I know that I have to play regularly to secure a place in the Super Eagles which has informed this decision.”

Brescia have also been giving the option of signing the forward, who scored a hat-trick against Tahiti.
