It has been reported that West Bromwich Albion forward, Osaze Odemwingie, presently trains on his own in his preparation for top flight football next season- even using separate changing facilities.

Odemwingie looks on his way out of the Hawthorns as West Brom has recruited former Chelsea striker Nicolas Anelka from Juventus, and Crystal Palace has been reported his most likely destination.

“Palace (is) expected to make a formal bid for the player- with the striker now training away from the first team,” reports Birmingham Mail’s Chris Lepkowski.

Since Ian Holloway’s bid to land back Wilfried Zaha from Manchester United on a loan deal fell through, the newly promoted Premier League outfit are keen on the Nigeria international and are said to be considering a £2.5m bid for the former Lokomotiv Moscow winger.

There is no guarantee Odemwingie will fly out to Austria, when manager Steve Clark and his side travel on Monday for the pre-season, given his circumstances.

The former Bendel Issurance player was at the centre-stage of a transfer saga that saw him try to force a move to QPR last January, at which time the Eagles had tried to sign him on a loan deal.

“There has been no further bust-up or blow out. Merely a course of action that is intended to benefit all concerned,” added the Birmingham Mail West Brom Writer in a Twiiter (@chrislepkowski) conversation.

Swansea and Hull City have also disclosed interest but the player, who turns 32 next week, could be on his way to Palace pending the pace of the ongoing negotiation. However, West Brom are yet to receive a bid but are on stand-by for a move.

Odemwingie has one year left in his present contract but will want to move away from the club, after several Twitter rants with Albion fans scuppered relationships, coupled with interviews where he had plainly expressed his willingness to join a top flight team where he can continue his development for international football.
