A mum has been fined £50 for littering after grooming her dogs in her local park.
Tracey Hayes was stunned when council wardens handed her an on-the-spot penalty.
The pair swooped shortly after she finished brushing golden retriever Biskit and German shepherd Rocky.
Tracey, 46, claims the wardens “blocked” her car at Harrow Lodge Park, Hornchurch, Essex, before taking pictures of the hair.
The mum of two, from nearby Romford, said: “It seems crazy. I was shocked.
“I’ve owned dogs for more than 10 years and have never heard of this.
“I spend so much time cleaning up litter in parks the fact I got a fine is ironic.”
She groomed her dogs while waiting for her son to finish playing football earlier this week.
Cllr Andrew Curtin said: “Responsible dog owners groom their pets at home.
“We put a lot of time and effort into keeping our parks clean and all residents should be able to enjoy them without any mess left by others.”
