Borussia Dortmund forward Robert Lewandowski has pledged his commitment to last season Champions League losing finalists after his anticipated move to treble winners Bayern Munich failed.

Lewandowski, whose contract at Dortmund runs till 2014 had refused to sign an extension late last season and has said he hoped to be joining “his club of choice” very soon.

“I will give everything I’ve got for Dortmund,” Lewandowski told Bild newspaper. “It does not matter what happened. I am not interested about that on the pitch.”

Early this month, Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp disclosed that the striker would be joining their Bundesliga rival after the coming season, ruling out every speculation linking him with top English clubs.

Lewandowski, who scored 24 league goals for Dortmund last season, is expected to play a vital role in Klopps bid to return with another impressive feat in European football in the 2013/14 season.
