22-year-old Student Needs N5m For Open Heart Surgery

A 22-year-old student of the Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Jeremiah Emmanuel, who has been diagnosed with congenital heart disease since he was 3 has cried for help.

Campaigners on his behalf said his condition was stable for some years after he had been placed on drugs upon diagnosis, but the disease has resurfaced, with some viciousness.

The heart disease has now made his stomach, legs and private part swollen and he needs an Open Heart Surgery in India, to stay alive. Doctors diagnosed his health defect as Ventricular septal defect.
