The draw for 2013 Wimbledon, which begins on Monday, has been made as all expectations of a quarter-final clash between Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray/Novak Djokovic was averted.

Drawn in the same quarter as sixth seed Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Murray will face Germany’s world number 95 Benjamin Becker in the first round, while a potential Murray-Tsonga quarter-final match-up is in line.

The 26-year-old British number one could face either Nadal or Roger Federer in the semi-final.

Fifth seed Nadal begins his campaign against Belgian Steve Darcis and, if results go in line with seeding, the two-time champion will have to scale through Federer, Murray and Djokovic to win his third Wimbledon title.

2011 champion and world number one Djokovic will play Germany’s Florian Mayer in his opening match on Tuesday. The Serb will avoid Murray, Federer and Nadal until the final, with fourth seed David Ferrer in his half of the draw.

Spaniard Ferrer starts his Wimbledon campaign against Martin Alund and could set up compatriot Juan Martin Del Potro in the quarter-final.

Seven-time Wimbledon champion Federer plays Romania’s Victor Hanescu on Monday.

Tradition dictates that reigning champion Federer will open play on Center Court on Monday, meaning both Murray and Nadal will also be in action on a packed first day that will also include Maria Sharapova and Victoria Azarenka.

In the women’s draw, Serena Williams will have the chance of extending her career-best 31 matches winning streak when she plays on Tuesday against Luxembourg’s Mandy Minella in the first round.

British number one Laura Robson faces a tough task against 10th seed Maria Kirilenko on Tuesday, while Heather Watson takes on American rising star Madison Keys.

World number three Sharapova will play Kristina Mladenovic, while second seed Azarenka will be up against Portugal’s Maria Joao on Monday.

Johanna Konta is up against Serbia’s former top seed Jelena Jankovic, Elena Baltacha plays Italian Flavia Pennetta, Anne Keothavong faces Spaniard Garbine Muguruza, Tara Moore meets Estonian Kaia Kanepi, and Samantha Murray takes on Italian Camila Giorgi.
