The first minister of Wales said his office is investigating after the government’s business tips website included advice on running and working at strip clubs.

First Minister Carwyn Jones said Tuesday his office is investigating after he was informed the “start up business ideas” section of the Business Wales website offered advice on stripping, lap dancing, being an escort and owning businesses where such services are performed, Wales Online reported.

The “start up business ideas” of the website was taken down Tuesday.

The advice on the website included noting a stripper “can expect to earn an average 232 pounds [$358] per evening.”

Jocelyn Davies, Plaid Cymru assembly member for South Wales East, called the advice “degrading for women.”

“I’m certainly not a prude but it is hard to understand how the Welsh government can believe it is acceptable to provide information to help women become strippers or run a lap dancing club, which is classed as a sex establishment,” she said.
