Rangers are through to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup and they’ve been placed in Group A. ‘The Flying Antelopes’ secured a goalless draw against CS Sfaxien of Tunisia on Sunday evening to qualify for the money- spinning stage of the championship.
They’ve been grouped alongside Etoile du Sahel of Tunisia, Saint Georges of Ethiopia and Malien of Mali who also qualified after the last round of matches.
Rangers’ first match against ES Sahel has been slated for the weekend of July 19-21 in Enugu.
Rangers are the only surviving Nigerian team in any of the CAF competitions.
The Enugu club, who edged out CS Sfaxien with a 1-0 aggregate score, will have the opportunity of securing the services of five new players before the start of the group matches.
