Heartland coach Ndubuisi Nduka has said the club will not be signing new players for the remainder of the 2012/13 Glo Premier League season.
The Cup holders have resumed training after a brief holiday ahead of their crunch tie against Enyimba on July 3 at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.
As for the Matchday 20 fixture, Heartland will be looking forward to overturn the 1-0 deficit they suffered in the hands of their oriental foes in the first leg at the Aba International Stadium.
Nduka said he relies on the players in his current fold to put paid to the side’s ambition in the league and Federation Cup.
“No we are not bringing in any new player within the mid-term transfer period, we’re contented with the quality of players we have at the moment and will see our campaigns in the league and Federation Cup to a successful end with those players.
“We’re equally not going to lay off any player except if such a player so desires to leave the team.
“We did good recruitment at the start of the season; we’ve not seen any reason to doubt the performance or quality of the players.
“The caliber of players we have should be able to give us what we want in the ongoing football season,” the former Plateau United coach told supersport.com.
For Wednesday’s encounter with the ‘People’s Elephant’ Nduka said his side will be ready to payback the Aba club when they visit Owerri.
“I think Enyimba have taken their fair share of the points in Aba so it will be our own turn to take ours when they visit Owerri for the reverse fixture.
“I’m confident nothing will stop us from picking the maximum points at stake,” he said.
