FG Appoints New Immigration Boss, David Paradang

nigeria-immigration-serviceThe Federal Government has appointed Mr DavidĀ  Paradang, an assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, as the new Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS).

The development is coming as a surprise following speculations that Alhaji Rilwan Musa, who has been acting in that capacity, would be confirmed as substantive NIS boss after Mrs Rosemary Uzoma was ordered to proceed on pre-retirement leave in January.

The Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ekpedeme King, confirmed the appointment on Monday.

KingĀ said the Mr Paradang would be decorated on Tuesday (today) by the Minister of Interior, Abba Moro.

The new CGI, who hails from Plateau state, until his appointment, was in charge of state coordination at Immigration headquarters, Abuja.
