On their way to a fishing spot near Pangburn, Arkansas, the couple stopped at a T-Ricks convenience store, about 60 miles northeastof Little Rock. They picked up a lottery ticket and headed out to fish. They stopped at T-Ricks again on their way home and decided to grab another lottery ticket while they were there.
While there’s no word on whether or not the Weavers had a good day fishing, they definitely had a good day playing the lottery, winning big not once, but twice. The Arkansas Lottery Commission announced that the first ticket the Weavers purchased netted the couple a $1 million prize, while the second ticket brought the icing the cake with another $50,000.
The lottery commission told the Associated Press that the Weavers claimed their reward on Monday and plan to use their winnings topay bills and invest in their retirement.
