Six more players have joined up with the rest of the Flying Eagles squad in Germany.

The players are Kingsley Madu, Christian Pyagbara, Lucky Omeruo, Uche Agbo, Samuel Mathias and Sikiru Alimi.

The players, whose flight had been delayed due to entry visa hitches, arrived at the team’s Ullrich Hotel in Elfershausen early Thursday morning from Abuja.

They are expected to join the squad training in the evening by 5pm local time.

The new players have increased the number of players in camp to 30 with more still expected to arrive.

The team will be announcing a 30- man provisional squad for next month’s World Cup in Turkey.

After the Germany camp, the team will depart for France on May 26 for the Toulon International Tournament. They will be playing against defending champions Mexico on May 29 in their opening game.

As part of preparations for a successful outing in next month’s U20 World Cup in Turkey, the Flying Eagles drew 1-1 with Nurnberg U23 team in a test match on Wednesday.

President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Aminu Maigari, watched the game at the Nurnberg training ground.

Nurnberg took the lead in the 57th minute through striker Colar Antonio, who clinically tapped home after the flying Eagles defence was beaten.

Chidi Osuchukwu netted the equaliser for Nigeria U20 in the 81st minute. He latched on to a low drive by Bright Ejike from the left.

Maigari charged the Flying Eagles to prepare well in order to ensure victory in Turkey.

“This is a good start. I’m impressed but we must work harder because we are going to the World Cup,” Maigari told the team.

“Expectations are high because the glory days are back for Nigeria after the Super Eagles set the pace.

“We have ensured that you prepare very well here in Germany and France. We will fully support you to achieve your target at the World Cup in Turkey.

“The coach has promised us the World Cup and you are in good position to be world champions,” Maigari added.
