Schurrle to Chelsea Almost a Done- Deal.

Andre Schurrle’s Stamford Bridge’s dream may have reached its point of realization after Bayern Leverkusen’s general manager Wolfgang Holzhauser said he believes the Germany international has already signed a pre- contract with the West London club.

Leverkusen have reportedly received an offer for the 22- year- old forward, but claimed to be fine- tuning the contract details.

Schurrle, however, does not want to comment on the speculation other than to express disappointment that the move to Stamford Bridge last season fell through.

That disappointment could soon turn to delight as Holzhauser has hinted that the deal could be struck soon.

“Andre Schurrle has probably signed a pre- contract deal with Chelsea,” Kicker magazine quoted Holzhauser.

“It all depends on whether we let him go. We have received a concrete offer for a fee which we are considering.

“But the price alone is not decisive. We must also have alternatives, which we don’t have yet.”

Bayern Leverkusen are considering a move for Chelsea’s teenage protégée Kevin de Bruyne as an alternative, after the midfielder’s impressive performance on loan at Werder Bremen caught the attention of so many Bundesliga clubs including Borussia Dortmund.

“He still has a few talks to hold with Chelsea,” Holzhauser said.

“It looks like there is an offer from Dortmund to sign the player for a relatively high fee.

“According to our information, Chelsea don’t want to sell him but just loan him out.”

He also claimed that Leverkusen has however not spoken with the Belgian international De Bruyne yet, to “find out if he actually wants to come to us and, if so, on what conditions.”
