B’Haram: Jonathan’ll One Day Account For Our Women And Children – Northern Elders

Published

on

Northern Elders Thursday mocked President Goodluck Jonathan’s benevolent gesture of ordering the release of terror Northern Elderssuspects from detention centres across the region, saying that he would one day be made to account for the women and children seized by security agents based on unverified terrorism charges.

The group also took exception to the recent threat by Mujaheed Dokubo Asari to match the opposition bullet by bullet if Jonathan was not re-elected in 2015, saying that it was a threat to national security.

The elders, who made this position known through their spokesman, Prof Ango Abdullahi, noted with dismay that the present administration had allowed innocent women and children to be subjected to untold hardship for offences they knew nothing about.

“Let me tell you that what the government did by ordering the release of suspected terrorists was borne out of shame and guilt being suffered by it for clamping innocent women and children into detention camps or what you may call Nigeria’s ‘Guantanamo Bay’, which are scattered all over the place,” Adbullahi said.

“We note with delight that at last common sense has prevailed and the embattled families have regained their freedom. But we hasten to add that this government must account for the women and children from the north, who they took into unwarranted detention. As far as we are concerned, the release of the so-called terror suspects should have been done long ago.”

On Dokubo-Asari’s threat, The NEF said, “From the antecedents of Asari Dokubo, we believe that he is making these empty boasts apparently because of the filthy lucre he is getting from pipeline contracts and the promise of more. But we can bet Nigerians that he would be the first person to flee to the creeks if the war he is threatening breaks out”.

The people that have commented so far are the problems we face in this country, ignorant ones that won’t see themselves as NIGERIANS before whatever tribe they belong to, Politicising of issues will continue to be the bane on our necks, the tone of the last two commenters shows they will be among those that can wreck violence @ the slightest provocation. NEF claim to be elders, but so far all their utterances has no sense of elderliness, things they say and you people like the last two commenters say, continue to echo that dark history of our nation which I know none will survive it’s pain if it becomes incited again. GOD BLESS NIGERIA!!

BUHARI CAN NOT CONTROL HIS PEOPLE ,IF HE IS NOT PART OF THEM,BUT HE CAN TALK NEGATIVELY AND HE WANT TO RULE THE WHOLE COUNTRY. NOT THIS GENERATION-ENEMY OF DEMOCRACY.

The Northeners would see nothing rather than Perfect peace In Sha Allah. We worship The one & Only true God, We pray, we fast for full month, give alms, all for the sake of Allah, The Omniscient, He alone we seek help to. But you (the Mushriks), your sin for calling God Almighty as three in one or one of three is enough to make your hearts closed and constricted.
You can kill muslims but you can never destroy Islam.
Nomatter how little your family is, one or two persons must accept Islam.
May Allah guide us to the straight.

May God punish all the so called northern elders who have turn Nigeria into a battle field by missleading young Nigerians in doing their dirty job for them. If they want war, they and their family should fight the war themselves and not decieve innocent lives into fighting their battle for them. As for Nigerian youths, be it northerner, southerner or from the east or west, pls we should allow our lives to be destroyed by all this selfish and evil so called elders. We should not forget that we are the leaders of tomorrow. We should not sacrifice our life and future for the selfish interest of some so called elders who have lived their life. We have to be wise for sake of a better tomorrow.

President Jonathan has been a different leader more of a wise and patient type no leader of this Nigeria has faced the kind of political challenge he has been facing from opposition since he took over power, no militant group in the past carryout there attack by indiscriminately and incessantly bombing innocent souls but he has been patient unlike Obasanjo who clear the people of obudu in bayelsa but GJ did’nt iniciate such measure niether did he accepted it from anybody until this time all effort to stop this blood sucker from their extrememise was to no avail, he now use the only alternative and option emergency rule. Supremo jonathan the only me that never mind and granted blood sucker amnesty who have destoryed millions of souls and property regardless of anything, may the Almight who sees in secret bring his judgement accross this nation THANK YOU

The Governor warned that those interested in the presidency must wait till 2023 and go through democratic processes.

He urged the protesting youths to leave the streets and embrace dialogue.
