Putting An End To The Molestation Of Young Girls in Nigeria

Published

Why You Should Buy YouTube Views Cheap

I am continually challenged with the number of rape and mutilation stories I come across daily. The sordidness of this stories range from shocking details of rape of girls as young as 3 months of age!

Why is it that every man feels he must rape a girl at least once in his life time? One aspect of this stories that never ceases to horrify me is that a man is capable of raping a girl who calls him “daddy”

A very recent incident is that of the Light of Hope Orphanage in Akute area of Ogun State, Nigeria. One of the orphans, 14 year old Atinuke (not real name) said Atunde (who runs the facility),popularly referred to as daddy, by the inmates started sleeping with her at the age of 10.

According to her, “Daddy started sleeping with me when I was 10. On one occasion, when he has sleeping with me, I ran into another room but he chased me and warned me never to run away from him again”.

Even someone with no sense of imagination would be fired to replay this horrid scene in his senses.
Imagine an older man pouncing about a little girl like a lion with its prey.
The worst of it is the leniency with which this monstrosity is often treated especially in Nigeria. Each time rape cases are filed to the police, the accused is temporarily celled and bailed within 24 hours! So monsters in human skin keep parading Nigerian streets.

Maybe authorities are so lenient because every man is a potential rapist and since 80% of all affairs are officiated by men worldwide, empathy for exposed rapists is bound to occur. If you don’t agree with me, what then do you assume is the legit reason for denying rape victims adequate justice and re-dress?

To stop this rape of a thing, please i am begging Nigeria Marketers to go to India and import women’s shocking underwear that is capable of detecting a raper and gives him the shock of his life. It is a new invention with the aim of prtecting women from heartless rapers and Nigerians need to grab this fast to prevent good for nothing rapers defiling our girls who are our future mothers.

This is the reason why i want to go to the national assembly…..as our lawmaker’s are not making adequate law to protect women and children in particular and the nation at large ….it shocks me when a child is raped and the matter is charged to court the presiding judge will grant bail almost immediately with a bail of N 100,000 naira…..and the stigma attached to rape victims who dare report such cases….There should be a strong law aimed as a deterrent which should be a minimum of 25years imprisonment and the onus should not be on the molested victim to prove such case and Father’s, Husband’s should be supportive to victims as the most important women in our lives are still vulnerable to such in a society where people are not guaranteed security………………

Healthcare Workers To Receive Coca-Cola-Funded PPEs From Nigerian Red Cross

Published

on

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria, our healthcare workers have continued to lead the charge against the disease. As the number of recorded COVID-19 cases in Nigeria began to increase, these healthcare workers rose to the challenge and fought tirelessly to protect the lives of Nigerians impacted by the disease.

Considering the risks these healthcare workers face, there is a crucial need for adequate protective equipment for these brave frontline workers.

Coca-Cola is excited that over 400,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) procured to support the intervention efforts of the Nigerian Government and other key stakeholders to fight the COVID 19 pandemic have arrived. We do believe that this will to provide succor to our healthcare workers on the frontlines

These PPEs comprise N95 respirators, surgical masks, examination gloves, face shields, medical gowns, no-touch thermometers, disposable aprons, heavy-duty rubber gloves, rubber boots, basic masks, disposable gloves, and hand sanitizers.

Since the first confirmed case of the disease in Nigeria reported in February, over 800 healthcare workers have contracted the disease. While Nigerians are encouraged to stay home where possible and practice social distancing, these healthcare workers are needed across the country in the continued fight against the disease.

This donation forms part of The Coca-Cola Foundation’s COVID-19 relief interventions in Nigeria. The Coca-Cola Foundation has provided $2.5m in grant to IFRC who seeks to directly impact the lives of 1.4 million people in Nigeria and across other countries in West and Central Africa under this partnership.
