Clark, who said he was in constant touch with the leaders of MEND which, according to him, went into oblivion beginning from when they all embraced the amnesty programme of the Federal
Government, said the government would forestall any breach of law and order in all parts of the country, just as he advised Nigerians to cooperate with the government.

Clark, who also doubles as the leader of Delta State Elders’ Council, said he suspected that supporters of the convicted Henry Okah were the ones mushrooming as MEND; with intent to arm twist the government on getting him out of jail.

He also alluded that threats by the so-called MEND was suspect as it is coming at a time the president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, is billed to arrive Nigeria for an official visit.

According to Clark, no former member of MEND had complained about anything and so could not have resolved to go back to the creeks while taking the gauntlet to fight again.
