Real Betis midfielder Nosa Igiebor is still in Nigeria three weeks after winning the African Cup of Nations, AFCON with the Super Eagles as the Spanish Embassy in Lagos has been delaying the issuance of visa to the footballer.
This is because the Spanish Embassy in Lagos as Thursday, was still playing hide and seek with regards to the issuance of an entry visa to the player.

Igbiebor who has been a regular visitor at the Spanish embassy following the AFCON tourney and the celebrations that greeted the Super Eagles victory, was still told the same story he had been hearing for three weeks on Thursday.

Igiebor was earlier told that there was a problem with his work permit, later, his birth certificate and finally that there was no paper to process his application. The issue has left the player and his club frustrated. Betis even considered sending officials to Lagos during the week to sort out the matter, according to reports.

“I cannot believe they are doing this to me in my own country. I’m desperate and do not know what to think. I want to go back, but they will not let me,” said Nosa on Thursday.
