Armed robbers have reportedly invaded Taraba State secretariat in the early hours of Monday and made away with millions of naira.
According to investigations the armed robbers, who were 20 in number, broke into the state secretariat with dangerous weapons, carted away undisclosed amount of money and some office materials, and the operation lasted several hours without any interruption.
It was also gathered that the armed robbers tied six of the security men who were on duty, before carrying out their operation. The ministries affected included: health, justice, information and office of the secretary to the state government and general services.
Efforts to get more information from Taraba State Police Public Relation Officer (PPRO and the state government’s Head of Service have, so far, not yielded any results.
