The Special Adviser to Presient Goodluck Jonathan on Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Kingsley Kuku, in a statement letter he sent to Governor Godswill Akpabio of Akwa Ibom State, has said that the governor’s appointment as chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum did not come as a surprise to many Nigerians who have followed the his progress.
Kuku, who is also the chairman of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, said that the emergence of Akpabio was a manifestation of his recognition as one of the outstanding performers in the polity.

The Special Adviser to the President wrote: “Your emergence as the first among equals within the family of PDP Governors did not come to me and several other discerning Nigerians as a surprise given your pedigree as an uncommon achiever and a worthy torch-bearer for our party. We are all exceedingly proud of you.

“Permit me to add, Your Excellency, that your election as the chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum is a clear attestation to the already established fact that you are clearly one of the few most performing governors in the country, not just within the PDP fold but in the entire country.”

“Please keep up the good work and may God Almighty imbue you with even greater wisdom and bless you with long life, good health and other requisite qualities that you will need to discharge equitably your latest responsibilities to our great party and the nation at large.”
