Goodluck-Jonathan-visits-Idris-Wada-in-HospitalGovernor Idris Wada of Kogi state was in high spirits yesterday when President Goodluck Jonathan paid him a visit at the private hospital where he is presently receiving treatment for injuries sustained when his official car crashed at Emi Woro village in Kogi state last Friday.

The president who arrived the Cedarcrest Hospital, Garki II Abuja at about 3:15pm, was received by Minister of Health Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu and the hospital’s Chief Medical Director (CMD), Dr. Felix Ogedengbe.

Dr. Jonathan, who was accompanied by some of his aides, wore a brown stripped kaftan with a red cap and a pair of brown shoes to match.

After exchanging pleasantries with the minister who got to the hospital much earlier, the President was shown to the governor’s ward.

Governor Wada who wore a light blue kaftan with a cap, slightly raised up his body and stretched out his arm for a handshake upon sighting the president. The two cracked some jokes and the governor showed the President his right leg which is in a plaster just as the doctor explained the nature of the injury to the President while the Minister of Health listened with rapt attention.

The President wished the governor speedy recovery before departing 15 minutes later.

TIME TO PRAY FOR OUR GOVERNORS
Nigerian Governor’s Forum needs the prayer of all Nigerians in this New Year. The past years, especially the Year 2012 was a trying moment for the Governors. The forum lost one of them in the person of Late Patrick Yakowa, former Governor of Kaduna State who died in the military helicopter crash on December 15 2012, while returning from the burial of the father of Special Adviser to the President Jonathan on documentation, Oronto Douglas.
Taraba State Governor, Danbaba Suntai who is a trained pilot, is still in German hospital now after his plane crashed on October 26, 2012 when it wanted to land at Yola Airport. The last tragic incidence among Nigerian Governors in year 2012 was that of Kogi State Governor, Idris Wada who was involved in a ghastly motor accident on December 28 at Emi Woro village in Ajaokuta Local Government Area. The Governor of Enugu State, Sullivan Chime is also currently suffering from an undisclosed ailment is in hospital in Abroad while the Deputy Governor is acting in his capacity.
While others may see these as mere coincidence and one of those things, I see it as a plan of devil to distract our Governors from discharging their duties well. Some of these Governors fought a strong political and spiritual battle before they immerge the Governors of their different states and I believe their enemies somewhere are not happy; therefore they need prayer for them to succeed and overcame all odds.
If the head is affected, the whole body will be surely affected, that is why I am calling on Nigerians to be praying for their Governors so that whatever that affects them will not affect the progress of the state and so that the money meant for developing their states will not be use to pay hospitals bills in home and abroad.
On their part, Nigeria Governor’s forum must come together this New Year and pray for God’s protection. Governors Rotimi Amaechi who is the Chairman must call his colleagues together and find time to pray in this New Year. Governor Babangida Aliyu who is also the chairman of Northern Governor’s forum must work together with Governor Amaechi to quickly organize a prayer session for their colleagues early this year and most especially they must pray for the speedy recovery of their colleagues in hospitals.
I also call on all the aides of Governors in different states to also find time to pray for themselves in this New Year. Many political aides and aide-de-camp to the Governors have died in the process of discharging their duties. They must pray that they will not die instead of their bosses. It will be recalled that many of the Governor political aides have died or critically injured in the past years. For instance, the Principal Private Secretary to Governor Adams Oshiomole, Olaitan Oyerinde was murdered in his cold blood on May 5, 2012 and some of his aides also lost their lives when a tipper ramp into their vehicles. The aides of Governor Yakowa, Dauda Tsoho died with him in the helicopter crash in Bayelsa state. The aide-de-camp (ADC) of Governor Wada, Idris Mohammed who was an Assistance Superintendent of Police (ASP), died on the spot in the ghastly motor accident while eight others are also injured and they are still in hospitals. In another development, six aides of Governor Danbaba Suntai were also injured with him in their plane crash in Yola and it took the interventions of Human-right activists before they were also taken abroad for a proper medical care in Germany. These are just to mention few of the cases of the predicament of some of the aides of our Governors.
Therefore, as we are praying for our Governors, let us also pray for their aides. Also as the Governor are taking their time to pray they must also give their aides chance to pray for themselves too, because there is equality before the law and no live is more important than the other.
More importantly the Governors must limit their speed while on the road and they must be security conscious before they embark on any journey.
I wish Governor Dambaba Suntai and Governor Idris Wada a speedy recovery.
Governor Rotimi Ameachi and his colleagues must please take note.
Happy New Year to all Nigerian 36 states Governor.

Nigerian businessman, Femi Otedola has finally reacted to the shooting that took place at Lekki Tollgate, Lagos on Tuesday.

Information Nigeria recalls men dressed in military wears opened fire on unarmed #EndSARS protesters, who convened at the area.

Otedola took to his Instagram page on Sunday to commiserate with the families of those who lost their lives in the unfortunate incident.

Sharing a photo of the Nigerian flag, he wrote;

“The horrors that have been unfolding in our country have left me filled with sadness. I deeply commiserate with those who have lost their loved ones and as a father, I share the sentiment of my three daughters who protested in Lagos and London. As a young boy of 16, I participated in the ‘Ali Must Go Protest’ of 1978, so I understand the determination of our youths who rightly want our country to be better. We must all do our part to make Nigeria great! I will continue to do my own quota in providing for those who are most in need of support in our country in these tough times .…F.Ote💲”

“Oke Wasn’t Killed By Stray Bullet, He Was Stabbed By Thugs” - Brother Claims
Oke

Oke

Information Nigeria recalls a graphics designer identified as Oke, was killed hours after tweeting “Nigeria will not kill me” on Wednesday.

It was reported that the young man had passed away after he was hit by a stray bullet.

The deceased’s younger brother, Daniel has come out to clear the air regarding the circumstances leading to his death.

Daniel revealed his brother was stabbed on the neck by thugs who infiltrated and ransacked their home.

In his words;

Good day, My name is Obi-Enadhuze Daniel younger brother of the now deceased Okechukwu Obi-Enadhuze @O_Okee . I, my brother and mother lived at makinde police barracks, mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State.

Today at about 11 o’clock in the morning the police station at makinde was attacked by thugs who wanted to destroy the station, I my mom and brother were holed up in our house.

The attack went on for hours before the thugs eventually breached the police and proceeded to set the station on fire, after accomplishing this they set their sights to the barracks and began the assault, they proceeded to destroy every car in the barracks, my mom’s 2 cars where destroyed and set on fire and then they infiltrated our house by breaking the door they then proceeded to ransack the house and carted away with everything we own.

my brother on trying to get them to take everything but spare us was pushed to my mom’s room and stabbed on the neck, the attacker then proceeded to attack me but missed my neck but got my chin instead, after this my mom and I carried my brothers body to the entrance of the station soliciting for help from the thugs still ravaging the barracks, we were finally able to put him in a wheelbarrow and took him to a hospital where he was rejected because “he was already dead” unfazed we moved him to another hospital where he met the same treatment this was where he bled his last drops of blood and died, his body has now been moved to a morgue

we have lost every single thing we own, as our house was completely ransacked and set on fire the only thing left is my brothers phone and at about 8 o’clock this evening the barracks was still on fire but Okechukwu has paid with the ultimate price

I and my mother are homeless with nothing now but we’re safe for now, we thank everyone that has been able to reach out to us, and were able to share consoling words with us in these trying times, God bless you

While we were holed up in the house the three of us said these words together and we say it again ” THREE OF US ARE HERE, THREE OF US ARE TOGETHER, THREE OF US ARE SAFE”

Let it be known that my brother @O_Okee  was NOT killed by a police bullet but died a hero protecting my mother and I.

If you see this please retweet, let the world know how Okechukwu died. He was NOT killed by a police bullet but thugs in his home!”

Youths Burn Down Gov Sanwo-Olu’s Mother’s House In Lagos (VIDEO)

Youths Burn Down Gov Sanwo-Olu’s Mother’s House In Lagos (VIDEO)Lagos youths have set the family house of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on fire.

This was after the Governor said that no nobody was killed during the shooting by soldiers at Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday night.

Sanwo-Olu had debunked claims that the soldiers opened fire and killed some peaceful protesters.

Recall that men of the Nigerian Army reportedly opened fire on protesters following the declaration of 24 hours curfew by the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwolu.

Bullets fired by security operatives hit some persons and at least two persons have been confirmed killed by the police and many injured

Voices in viral footage blamed the shootings on soldiers.

However, the angry youth attacked several important places such as Nigeria Port Authority, TVC News, and the family house of the Governor where his mother resides.
