Twenty rice millers have been donated to victims of last year’s flood which claimed lives in the country and rendered thousands homeless by the South Korean government.According to the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the donation was a humanitarian gesture aimed at assisting local communities affected by the floods in the country.
States that benefitted from the gesture are Benue 10, Kogi 5, and Bayelsa 5. The millers which cost about N30m, was handed over to the Director General of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Muhammed Sani Sidi, for onward distribution to the beneficiary state.
Presenting the donation, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, H.E. Jong-hyun Choi, said the donation was part of efforts to cement ties with Nigeria.
