Job Description
1. To provide end to end operational support for retail lending products-Mortgages, installment loans, credit cards and overdraft.
2. To actively contribute in the managing of a large portfolio of approved Unsecured and Secured loans for consumer banking and ensure that draw down are operated in accordance with the established credit policies and lending guidelines of the Bank to safeguard the Bank’s interest.
3. To actively document and update new/ existing credit operational procedures.
4. To provide administrative and credit operation support to the business and to achieve excellence in providing quality services to clients including maintaining appropriate credit controls.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Manage the process of loan initiation and disbursement of approved loan applications including the reviews of all documentation for secured and unsecured lending facilities for consumer banking.
2. Regular review of processes to improve TAT, service quality, reduce error and minimize customer complaints
3. Translate business objectives into support plans and strategies
4. Generate and deliver innovative ideas and solutions to meet business growth and expectations
5. Motivate, train and develop staff to enhance their contribution, boost staff morale and optimise the use of resources.
6. Work with product team, Customer Relationship Managers, Credit, Collections and Legal department on loan related issues to ensure the CB lending portfolio is managed in line with policies.
7. Adhere to stringent service performance standards to achieve excellence in customer relations and to provide quality support and documentation.
8. Ensure that customers’ enquiries are replied promptly.
9. Own and ensure that all lending operations Suspense, sundry and control accounts are reconciled on a timely basis
10. To ensure and maintain a high standard of risk and operational control.
11. To continuously review processes and volumes to ensure capacity is adequate and productivity is maximised.

Qualifications & Skills
1.In-depth experience and a successful track record in a support role
2.Ability to manage volume in a pro-active way using various tools including volume forecasting, capacity planning
3. Sound communication and influencing skills, enabling the role holder to network effectively, establish credibility quickly, and manage multiple stakeholders
4.Good knowledge of banking operations at supervisor/manager level
5.Minimum of Bachelor of science from a reputable university
6.Good knowledge of SCB policies and processes will be an added advantage.

In compliance with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Act of 2004, all applicants should ensure that they have completed the mandatory NYSC programme. A discharge certificate will be required as evidence of completion of the programme. Where an exemption has been granted, a certificate of exemption will also be required.
