The Congress for Progressive Change, CPC, in Kaduna state has aligned with the new governor, Mukhtar Yero and promised to help him restore peace and unity in the state.
State chairman of the CPC, Alh. Ahmadu Yaro, made the pledge when he led a delegation of chieftains of the party including the senator representing Kaduna central senatorial district, General Muhammed Sani Saleh (retd), to visit governor Yero in government house, Kaduna.
While responding, Yero assured the delegation of his government’s continued partnership with all stakeholders to ensure development and unity among the people of the state.
“Very soon we will extend our hands to you and we hope that you will answer our call so that we can sit down to discuss areas where we can tap your experiences, ideas and fashion ways to move the state forward” governor Yero stated.
In a related development, chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, Kaduna state, Rev. Sam kujiyat, has advised governor Yero to ignore criticism that’re intended to create disagreement in the state. He said some people do not want to see Kaduna state in peace and would do anything to sow seeds of discord.
In his words: “Disregard what ever is been said as some people would not want to see us live peacefully. We will shun the seed of discord anytime we see one being planted.”
Rev. Kujiyat was speaking when he led the body of the clergy to visit the new governor. In his response, Governor Yero assured the group that he was ready to work for the unity of the state and will be just, fair & equitable to all as well as open to constructive criticism.
