President Jonathan Has Been Frightened By Boko Haram – CAN Scribe

Published

on

The umbrella body for Christiansin Nigeria, Christain Association of Nigeria (CAN), has pooh-poohed the conditions given by the Boko Haram sect for a ceasefire, particularly the one that seeks to hold the dialogue in Saudi Arabia with the Federal Government. This was made known by CAN’s Financial Secretary in the 19 northern states, Reverend Joshua Maina in Bauchi.

He said: “Boko Haram should not be so dreaded to the extent of giving in to their demands. President Goodluck Jonathan has actually been frightened by Boko Haram. Whether we like it or not, he has to face the reality. Saudi Arabia gives them cover as to who will be the figure for the dialogue. I don’t want to believe the same man who spoke on phone to media men yesterday would be the one to speak for Boko Haram. It is more or less going to be a meeting, what do we table to the Federal Government as our own demand? The same credible people who are going to speak for the Federal Government will be the same people speaking for Boko Haram.

“Who created Boko Haram? Accepted it was Mohammed Yusuf, but who sent Jerry Gana to bail Mohammed Yusuf? Is it not respectable Nigerians that have left this country? It is going to be like a form in Saudi Arabia on how to approach Jonathan with Boko Haram issue, what should be our demands for the North. So, I want to believe it is still the North and South affair and not Boko Haram, and unfortunately, the Church in the North suffer because they are like traitors to the northerners. Let the dialogue be within Nigeria, if the Boko Haram is not willing to dialogue in Nigeria, why should we go to Saudi Arabia? Why not Israel?

“Rome? USA is there, England is there; let them choose the whole of International Court of Justice? It is not safe for the Federal Government to give in to this demand,” he said.

Maina, a two-time governorship candidate and current CAN scribe in Bauchi, said further: “It is rather unfortunate that we have a country like Nigeria where you have crime and you look the other way. We have been insisting that Boko Haram is a formation of northern clique.

“Senators, governors in Borno are sponsors. We must accept the reality that Boko Haram is a creation and a sponsored organisation by the northern clique. Sometimes the security people back and give them cover.”

According to Maina, Boko Haram is not in a position to demand the arrest of Ali Modu Sherif. “If anybody has anything against him, that person should forward it to the police. If investigation shows that he has a hand in the operations of Boko Haram, on that basis, he will be arrested and prosecuted, but not because Boko Haram demands his arrest.”

On the call by Boko Haram for compensation for its members, Maina said: “They killed so many people, why haven’t they demanded for the compensation of the families of those they killed? Their leaders were killed because they were killing innocent people. How can we end up compensating criminals? Boko Haram is a lawless organisation. We all know this.

“Why must we compensate families of people, who under the law, are considered lawless people? If we go by that, then tomorrow others will form their gangs and begin to kill people. So, the Federal Government has to be very careful because we lost many precious people. But whether Boko Haram is ready for ceasefire or not, one thing I know is that their days are numbered.

“If Osama Bin Laden is no longer here, if Hitler is no longer here, Idi Amin is no longer in Uganda, if these people are no longer here, I don’t want to believe Boko Haram should be dreaded as to give in to their demands” he concluded.

      AFRICA-AFFAIRS SUBMIT PROGRAMME !!!

I declared a speech today at AFRICA-AFFAIRS SUBMITs PROGRAMME which was held in South-Africa, that Frustrations were the major reasons behind the activities of Boko Haram, sect which has claimed responsibilities for most of the killings in the Northern parts of Nigeria.

However, Boko Haram capitalised on popular frustrations with the Nation’s Leaders, Poor Government, Ineffective Service delivery, and Dismal living conditions for many Northerners.
“Over the past year, Boko Haram has created widespread insecurity across Northern Nigeria, inflamed tensions between various Communities, disrupted development activities, and frightened off investors. The near daily spate of bombings and attacks that have claimed the lives of thousands of Nigerians is unacceptable, and the United States strongly condemns this violence”

In other word, i heard President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor, saying that, Boko Haram was not only a Northern problem, but a Nigerian problem with Global implications, in which i strongly believe and agreed with him.
“This is outright terrorism, not legitimate political activity or the airing of grievances. By refusing to designate Boko Haram as a foreign terrorist organisation, the United States is sending a very clear message, not just to the Federal Government of Nigeria alone, but to the world – that the murder of innocent Christians, and Muslims who reject islamism, and made a clear distinction between islam and islamism, are acceptable losses.

Inconclusion of my speech today, i sincerely and sadly quote that my Country named “NIGERIA” is mensurating with the problem of Poor Governance, both at the State level and National level.
Anyway i think the vital and best solution to this issue is for the National Governments, National Leaders and State Governments, State Leaders to resign with an immediate effect, in which their efforts are being disconsidered.

I REST MY WORDs FOR NEXT ACTION !!!

I just hope that the leaders of this great nation would weigh the situation well before taking any action.

It is rediculous that terrorists killed innocent Nigerians in their thousands and then are demanding compensation for their terrorist ativities.

What will relations of the innocent victims demand for? What will the Christians demand for – hundreds of their Churches were burnt down? Then the issue of S/Arabia. Why not Israel, USA, or Britain that earlier colonized us?

Those guys are mad to be sure! Their days are numbered and God is about to disgrace them in Jesus’ Name, AMEN!

I don’t know when would Nigerian’s grow up and look at things in an appropriate way.Now him leader of CAN that made this speech does he thinks this his talk would promote peace or cost more violence.Just because government has taken Boko Haraam case to a court in S/Arabia now all the Cristian’s don’t want to accept and the are proclaiming why not Isra’el?Why are we so selfish? Why?That is a government decision and that whta the decide own.And let me bring it to your notice that Boko Haraam are not Islamist because ISLAM doest not support terrrosism.Infact islam condems all sort of terrorism.Islam is Peace and preaches Peace. It’s just that there are some group of people that don’t understand the teaching of the Holy Qur’an that’s why the went ahead and do some kind of unwanted actions in the name of Ibadt. But terrrism is no where to be found in Islam.Islam is all the way Peace and preaches Peace.May Allah continior to guide us to the right path.May you our cristian brothers understand the Islam is the truth and the Only way to heaven so that all the world would be Muslims.Thank’s your’s faithfullly Sani Tilde.from dept of civil engineering A.B.U Zaria.

I do not really know what this so-called CAN is up to? A religious body or a political body? I wonder if the leaders of this body worship God of mercy or satan? Almighty God will reveal your true identity one day insha Allah.

Through your efforts, vulnerable people are building the courage to speak out on offences of sexual violence and heal their wounds.

“We will bring people, who have been perpetrating these crimes, knowingly or unknowingly, to book. We will ensure they never walk freely without the full wrath of the law brought upon them. Vendor’s Widow Disowns Family Over N500m Lawsuit Against Gbajabiamila

Femi Gbajabiamila

Josephine Okereke, wife of the Abuja-based vendor killed by a security aide of Femi Gbajabiamila, speaker of the house of representatives, has rejected the family’s demand of N500 million compensation.

Okereke while speaking to newsmen on Thursday stated that what she wants is justice for her late husband, and not the compensation being sought by his family.

Recall that some days ago, Ifeanyi, her husband, was shot by Abdullahi Hassan, a Department of State Services (DSS) operative attached to the speaker.

Days after the Speaker promised to ensure justice, the family of the slain vendor wrote the speaker, demanding a N500 million compensation.

Okereke, however, told journalists in Abuja that she was not privy to the N500 million compensation requested by the family.

“I was in my house when within 10 minutes my father-in-law came from Abia, he went out along with his other son and the next day I heard that my husband’s people are demanding N500 million as compensation,” she said.

“I was shocked and asked how will they be doing that and how will the speaker help the children again with such demand. All I want now is that the person that killed my husband to face justice.”
