I Do Not Believe In God Or Anything Supernatural – Seun Kuti

Published

on

This shouldn’t surprise anyone who is familiar with the late Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s family – they don’t seem to profess any faith or religious beliefs but looking at his explanation, does it make any meaningful sense that; ‘God, to me is in existence.’

Here is what Seun is quoted to have said:

I do not believe in God. I am not a believer of anything supernatural. I don’t believe in God, Jesus Christ, Mohammed, Ifa, Ogun, or whatever anybody uses as a reason to explain simple actions of nature. God, to me, is in existence. – Seun Kuti

Alas,Seun! Isn’t it rather a shame? Face-palm! Lol, ‘cos now everyone can see the ‘depth’ of ur shallow cum warped mind, the rhythm of ur dud existence, and the melodramatic melodies of ur marijuana-inspired thought process! Heck,Fela himself,ur dad& obviously a better lettered fellow believed in God. What’s more? Even the devil himself believes in God,as this invariably explains his own very existence! Or are u saying Satan doesn’t exist too? Are u by some weird, bizarre&unimaginable stretch of humanistic imagination insinuating there’s no evil&good? Wow! That would be a first! Because, traditional scientists, astronauts&physicists all have come to believe in a creator(an intelligent designer of things, time&space)! So,I guess it’s almost laughable, unfortunate&pitiable to even begin to wonder, let alone contemplate, whatever it is that matters anyway, what an ordinary saxophonist has to say in this matter.

For further edifying expositions &ur PR concerns, do well2 hook me up @pin: 20C9925E.

He has no reason to say that. Because there is no where in world that either Islam or other religion doesn’t reach.

Seun Kuti just made his confessions – “I do not believe in God or anything supernatural.” Seun, I am constrained from congratulating you for your honesty. But you do not need to celebrate your belief status. What you believe does not change anything for me or for anyone for that matter. The truth is that the bible has defined you, baptized you and given you a beautiful name. It was King Solomon who gave that name. he knew what he was talking about. You have been so handicapped by those who have come between you and your grandfather. he was in a class different fro the role models you have followed their world view. Do give yourself a break and reflect on the person and life of your paternal grandfather. Find out what made the man great and why. It will be a good exercise for you.

I don’t think people really have to be harsh about this, Seun has a right to his opinion and a freedom of speech. and remember God does not need a lawyer to fight his cause, sooner than later, he will advocate himself to Seun and we all shall see.
