Robbers Steal DPO’s Rifle In Osogbo

The Osun State Police Command on Friday revealed that a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Oja Oba, Oshogbo was robbed, shot and disarmed by a suspected armed robber who raided his house.

While parading 10 armed robbery suspects arrested by the command, state Commissioner of Police, Kalafite Adeyemi said the armed robber whose whereabouts are still unknown took away the DPO’s AK 47 rifle.

He also said that about N1 million was found with the suspects being paraded, adding: “efforts of detectives from Special Anti-Robbery Squad led to the arrest of the suspects’’.

The commissioner warned armed robbers to leave the state or be prepared to face the music, adding that the state police command was committed to making the remaining months in the year crime-free.
