Following the wave of attacks that preceeded the independence anniversary in the troubled maiduguri metropolis, the residents of the metropolis have resorted to stay indoors to avoid falling victims of circumstance in any way. The roads look clearly deserted with few shops opened while huge military presence littered the major roads in the metropolis.
