Company Dashes Fans’ Hope, Says Rihanna Not Performing In Dubai

Contrary to recent media reports, American singing sensation, Rihanna will not be performing at Meydan in Dubai, according to a statement released by the racetrack on Wednesday.

Following a press conference at Cityscape in Dubai, Meydan commercial director, Mohammad Nasser Al Khayat was quoted on Tuesday as saying an official announcement on the singer’s performance in the emirate was imminent.

A spokesperson spoke to reporters on the issue, “We will be hosting some exciting international acts in the near future and announcements will be made in the coming weeks.”

Rihanna was initially believed to be billed to perform at Meydan Racecourse which is able to accommodate over 60,000 spectators, and located at Meydan city in Dubai.
