Wonders! Woman Gives Birth To Baby With Rosary

Published

on

Barely three months after the reported birth of a baby with a mini-Quran in Mushin area of Lagos State, another oddity has occurred in Sagamu, Ogun State as a woman was said to have delivered a baby boy with an Islamic rosary, otherwise known as Tesbeu.

Investigation by Sunday Sun revealed that the boy was delivered on Tuesday at Rotoluwa Maternity Home along Aiyepe Road at about 11.45pm.

Mrs. Gbemisola Hamsat, a 35-year-old mother of five, was said to have been delivered of the baby and the rosary.

Expectedly, the strange delivery has turned their 2, Odujoko Street, off Prison Road, residence into a Mecca of sorts as people thronged the area to confirm the tale.

The Matron of the Maternity Home, Mrs. Sarah Olurotimi Oloyede, a traditional birth attendant, confirmed that she took the delivery of the somewhat strange child.

Oloyede’s words: “I heard a sound of something dropping into the bed pan before the placenta came out.

“It sounded as if it was an iron or something with weight that dropped on it and when I checked it closely, I saw a rosary covered with thick blood.”

Mrs Oloyede said that when she took the rosary by the ‘tail’ to examine it properly, all the clotted blood on it fell off, leaving the shinning rosary.

A Christian, Oloyede said that she immediately invited her husband and some Muslim clerics in the area to come and behold the strange birth by her Christian patient.

According to her, the shout of “Allahu Akbar” (God is Great) rented the air as hundreds of people trooped in to behold what happened.

According to her, the rosary was not around the neck of the boy when he was delivered by her mother.

She explained that the birth of the boy was miraculous and mysterious because a patient who was on the hospital bed for over four days and was unable to walk and eat, immediately got up and walked, demanding for food, which she ate on hearing the cry of the new baby.

Oloyede said the boy held on to the rosary and did not allow anyone to remove it from him despite the fact that he was yet to open his eyes.

The baby’s mother said she is a Christian while her husband is a Muslim and expressed surprise at the development.

Father of the baby, 45-year-old Mr. Idris Hamsat, said the wonderful delivery of his son helped to confirm his faith in Allah, adding: “Allah is indeed righteous and good.”

Chief Imam of Remoland, Alhaji Anofi Adeyemi Allinson, who doubles as the Ogun State President of League of Imams and Alphas, likened the wonder birth to the visit of Prophet Musa to Medina where Allah sent his light to herald his visit.

Allinson said: “Almighty Allah is sending us signals and message, which we must all understand.

“First, it was about a baby born with a miniature of the Holy Quran and now a baby boy with Tesbeu.”

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Sagamu Area, Mr. Wale Lawal, was said to have led his officers and men to behold the mystery baby while prominent indigenes ofRemo town were said to have also visited the hospital.

In his reaction, the Chief Medical Director of Ogun State General Hospital, Ijebu Ode, Dr. Wellington Ogunsanya, said there was no biological link of the story with the normal conception and baby delivery by a woman.

According to Ogunsanya: “Such claim could only be possible with the help of a third party who might have implanted the rosary into the woman while she was unaware.”

He said that such claims might be due to some women who inserted Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) through their vaginas into the uterus, adding that this may not necessarily disturb the growth of the baby.

Dr. Ogunsanya noted that in such cases, it was possible for the baby, during delivery, to hold on to or bring such an object out of the woman.

The CMD said that the case of a boy and a rosary being born by a woman had no correlation medically.

Allah is great! Whether men believe in Allah’s supremacy or NOT, He will continue to MANIFEST Himself. Prophet Mohammed (SAW) came centuries after Prophet Issa (Jesus) (peace be on him) departed this world. Signs upon signs followed Jesus’ departure for UNBELIEVERS before the eventual appearance of prophet Mohammed. Zero ur minds from biases and get prepared for Allah’s mysteries whether a CHRISTIAN or a MUSLIM.

Lies anger God. Why do these fake happenings not happen in big hospitals, but only in places of traditional birth attendants that can easily be lured wt little amount of money. And don’t forget, they said it fell into d bucket, later they said d baby held tight to it,what contradiction. Look 4 something better to say than all these lies. And be warned u dubious birth attendant, make sure u just throw those things into d bucket and not into d women so that u don’t cause them infections. And I dare u if u don’t confess and say d truth,God wl visit u soon and u wl speak d truth. All true Christians shd stop going to such a dubious woman to be ridiculed. She is not of God,if not she wld have bn saying d truth. Be warned,no liar wl enter heaven. Infonig pass this msg to d socalled birth attendant. Tanx

What is the message in the ‘strange birth’, that muslims feel excited about. Are the ‘signs’ trying to prove what the Quran & Hadiths could not prove? Mohammed did not perform any miracles as contained in Islamic holy books of Quran and Hadiths except the recitation of the verses. Unlike the Christian Bible, where Christ said you could do even greater things than I do only if you believe, there was no promise of any miracles, signs and wonders in Quran/Hadiths. Muslims should please stop this 419 practice. What you could not achieve by preaching, you cannot achieve by fraud.

Eventhough rosary may not be mentioned in the holy Quran, but Allah used to message people with what they can better understand around themselves.Never call the sign of Allah a lie fear the wrath of Allah.O K what of a boy that Quran verses used to appear [written]on his body, and it happens twice every week. This boy is around two years plus now and the thing is still happening. and it happened somewhere around Russia. And dossens of more evidences are out there to show mankind that Islam is truly from one and only GOD .Moreso,a lady travelled into the moon on getting there she discovered the whole earth was dark only Mecca and Medina were fully illuminated with light according to her finding, she was also hearing the call to prayer [AZZAN],and the saying of SUBHANALLAH meaning that GOD is the most clean. She did not know anything about Islam before she came back and accepted Islam. I post this because I read some people were making wrong comment, if certain sign of ALLAH is too increadible for you to believe, just take it with faith that there is nothing impossible for HIM to do.HE that hang the sky with full load, without fallen on us nothing will never be impossible for HIM.Do not sin against GOD.Thank you may the ALMIGHTY GOD bless you all .Ajani Abdullahi Lagos.

Healthcare Workers To Receive Coca-Cola-Funded PPEs From Nigerian Red Cross

Published

on

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria, our healthcare workers have continued to lead the charge against the disease. As the number of recorded COVID-19 cases in Nigeria began to increase, these healthcare workers rose to the challenge and fought tirelessly to protect the lives of Nigerians impacted by the disease.

Considering the risks these healthcare workers face, there is a crucial need for adequate protective equipment for these brave frontline workers.

Coca-Cola is excited that over 400,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) procured to support the intervention efforts of the Nigerian Government and other key stakeholders to fight the COVID 19 pandemic have arrived. We do believe that this will to provide succor to our healthcare workers on the frontlines

These PPEs comprise N95 respirators, surgical masks, examination gloves, face shields, medical gowns, no-touch thermometers, disposable aprons, heavy-duty rubber gloves, rubber boots, basic masks, disposable gloves, and hand sanitizers.

Since the first confirmed case of the disease in Nigeria reported in February, over 800 healthcare workers have contracted the disease. While Nigerians are encouraged to stay home where possible and practice social distancing, these healthcare workers are needed across the country in the continued fight against the disease.

This donation forms part of The Coca-Cola Foundation’s COVID-19 relief interventions in Nigeria. The Coca-Cola Foundation has provided $2.5m in grant to IFRC who seeks to directly impact the lives of 1.4 million people in Nigeria and across other countries in West and Central Africa under this partnership.

Taking Care of Tomorrow’s Leaders Today – The itel, Lagos Food Bank Example

Published

on

Waking up to a special meal or choice gift is the best feeling ever. Hundreds of children in Mushin, mainland Lagos, had a filling taste of this feeling for the October 1 st celebrations. It’s an experience they will remember for a long time.

Being one of the most responsible corporate citizens around, celebrating Independence Day was always going to be on the radar for itel Mobile. To make this possible and memorable, the brand got to work in earnest. The focus of the work was picking the best way to commemorate the 60th independence anniversary of the most populous black nation on earth.

The efforts soon paid off through an impact-driven partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative. With the arrangement, both partners considered a couple of activities capable of affecting communities positively and bringing smiles to people’s faces in Lagos. At the end of the exercise, taking care of children, the leaders of tomorrow, in the commercial city secured the highest votes.

With the decision, itel Mobile set about making this happen. Not surprisingly, the decision was
influenced by giving children the means to excel and prepare them for leadership and nation-building, for them to enjoy better life. For the good of their immediate family, community and the Nigerian society.

Idiko, Mushin, a suburb of mainland Lagos, was chosen as the benefiting community. And the partners strategically reached out to the beneficiaries, children and families, with gifts of love, care, happiness and support made possible by the itel Love Always On CSR initiative.

Over 1,000 families benefited from the gesture as well as 600 children, and each one of them received food packages to celebrate Nigeria’s 60 th Independence Day commemoration.

Speaking on the event and itel’s Love Always On CSR Initiative, Oke Umurhohwo, itel’s Marketing Manager said, ‘We wanted to mark this year’s Independence Day celebrations differently, and that is why we did something so momentous for our children. Children are the backbone of any longstanding community, and as such, we are proud to be able to give back and support them on their journey as leaders of tomorrow and for a better life.’

To meet the demands of the memorable event, 30 volunteers joined the customer-centric brand and the Lagos-based NGO to share smiles, and to convey just how important it is to love and take care of today’s children who will ultimately become leaders of tomorrow.

With the thoughtful activity, there are insights for everyone, from the government to citizens, on partnerships that are capable of making life better for children. Indeed, itel Mobile and the Lagos Food Bank Initiative have offered a great template on bringing this to reality.
