Rihanna Leads The Pack In MTV EMA 2012 Nominations As Dbanj And Wizkid Get Nod As Well

MTV has announced the nominees for the “2012 MTV EMA” with Rihanna leading the pack with six nominations.


MTV introduced the World Wide Act category last year, and five regions are under the category – Africa/India/Middle East, Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America and Europe. The nominee with the highest vote in each regions will be nominated for world wide act.


This year, Nigerian pop Artists – Wizkid and Dbanj have been nominated alongside Sarkodie, Camp Mulla, Mi Casa as Best African Artist in the 2012 MTV EMA awards.

Act with the most votes will represent the  Africa/India/Middle East region in the WorldWide Act category. The the show will air live from Frankfurt’s Festhalle on Sunday, 11 November 2012.

Meanwhile, RiRi and Swift will battle it out for the Best Female and Best Pop gongs, and will go against other well-known trend-setters in the brand new Best Look category – which highlights the most unique and eye-catching personal styles emanating from the music world.

  1. I’d personally personally favor Google. Both FB and Google would benefit from it, but we would likely benefit more from Google taking it over. In the case of Google+ it is just a matter of time. Facebook was lucky it didn’t seriously need to compete with something as “good” as facebook, the competition was just lacking a lot of features plus a global approach.Google+ is superior to Facebook, but it surely has a bigger challenge to have popular.Just have a look at VHS and Betamax.
