Two days ago we brought you the story of ‘ore ti o common’ Yoruba gospel singer, Tope Alabi who spoke on a range of issues and even claimed that wealthy men and some pastors have pestered her for sex before which she declined.
Her allegation has sparked reactions from an official of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria who has challenged her to substantiate her claim by naming and shaming the pastors involved.
According to the official, “it is not possible that a pastor pestered her for sex as she claimed. But she needs to come out and name such an individual in order to teach others a lesson and cleanse the body of bad eggs.” Speaking further, the official asserted that “making such an unsubstantiated claim on the pages of newspapers will not make any impact but rather bring shame to the body of Christ. She knows the proper channel to follow to report something like that”.
What do you make of the reaction of this official especially as it regards naming the pastors involved – wouldn’t that lead to more controversies?
For her to have made such serious albeit unsubstantiated allegations through d medium of d press is not fair on pastors & d church. It shows a lack of maturity on her part as she shd know d appropriate channel for relating such allegations for appropriate sanctions not d press. In any case I dnt believe her.
Even if her claims were true,she shouldn’t av revealed such 2 d press.I see dat as looking 4 cheap popularity.Anyway am not surprised.She’s sb dat is too outspoken and an extrovert so she might see nothing wrong in what she has done.I once watched an interview featuring her and i was quite disappointed.I used to think she was quiet,but i was wrong.
Tope, don’t mind them. Even Jesus Christ that perfomed wonders people don’t beleived him. Don’t mention anybody’s name, God knows them, He that knows every Man. They want to puch you to metion names so that those that involved would started hunting for you. Be careful watch your movement this time. They are looking for an avenue to bring you down God will not give them chance.
You can be sure its some behind the scenes, nondescript hardly known pastor..and it is only one..not many as she appears to portray…shes is married..so they were just testing her ‘commitment’. Men make passes everyday to the good, the bad and the ugly women..its no big deal..
I sincerely had high respect for Tope Alabi but her claims on the media shows how that respect was not earned but only given. She knows truly where to go to for such claims though she was not too forward as to the kind of proposals and I am sure she did not do that to cause any one pain. She is still part of us.
That statement is non sense. Let her go on and name the Pastors involved in that act. Is she show she is not the one tempting pastors? Many of this singers are funny people in church. Tope am waiting for when u will come on air to name those pastor. Learn how to be quiet.

Let us understand the interview she had with the press very well,knowing what the press men are looking for in their interviews, she never brought forth an allegation against anybody outright but made a comment in passing. Let’s be factual do we mean to say pastors are not human? If they are, we expect them to behave as one, mind you its not all pastors in whatever denomination they are that are born again and Holy Spirit filled, please leave the poor woman alone, and those that have made passes on her know themselves and we should just continue to pray for her as a vessel of evangelism as well as pray for the pastors both the saved and unsaved ones. The Church is not perfect but God who is perfect can make His church perfect. We need to continue to pray and not castigate anybody. Shallom!
Yes ooooo, she should prove her allegation by naming d pastors or 4ever remain quiet. If she can’t name names why did she open up in d first place or is she one of those daughters of Eve nd agents of devil running around our men of God wit their body looking 4 whom to tempt nd bring down frm grace.
I don’t think this issue has reached the stage where she (Tope Alabi) should be asked to mention the names. don’t forget that she did not came out and started telling the world such a thing. It came forth in the process of interview and sometimes the Press could be so funny with the way they package a story so that it will attract people. because the bottom line is not that she had an intention of tarnishing the image of Christianity at all.

I think all those telling her to mention names are guilty and they know themselves. Are u ppl deaf or blind to know what has been happening in churches? Atrocities everywhere. Evil and demonic self acclaimed pastors. So many of them are been prosecuted in the court of law for de filing under age married and single girls. Why can’t u ppl call a spade a spade? I sense you hv bitter experiences in the hands of your pastors being a victims to them, if you are ever a christian at all.In my opinion, PFN you have access to reach Madam Tope Alabi without the use of the press in order to correct her or get information from her. Sister Tope should also know what 2Thesselonians 3vs6 said in the bible concerning such people she was referring to. Nigerian press do not stand the best people to relate your life to. This may be another way or plot to silence the gospel truth you are showing the world. Please be warned.
