A lot of business men have been blind to the potentials of Ilorin, the Kwara state capital but obviously not Ichie Nnaeto Orazulike, the CEO of Genesis Deluxe Cinemas as a source close to the top executive has said work is ongoing in Ilorin to ensure the Ilorin cinemas open before the end of the year.
Genesis Deluxe Cinemas is part of the Genesis Group established in 1991. The Genesis Deluxe brand and company was launched in 2008 onto the Nigeria market in Lagos. Today, Genesis Deluxe Cinemas has grown to 3 cinemas; Lagos, Port Harcourt, and Enugu with 15 screens and over 2000 seats.
When asked what he feels about the development, a 200 level Chemistry student of University said having a cinema in Ilorin was long overdue. “The only way to relax in Ilorin is clubbing and drinking. Having a cinema here will give more relaxation option. I can’t wait.”
