ADMISSION INTO EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION PROGRAMME
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following courses:
(a) Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
(b) Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
(A) DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION
DURATION OF COURSE: Six (6) months – 2 semesters.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants are required to have a minimum of school Certificate with five Passes including Credit in English and Mathematics.
FEES:N50,000.00 for tuition fee and N10,000.00 for course materials.
LECTURES WILL HOLD ON SATURDAYS FROM 9.00AM TO 5.00 PM.
VENUE: Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba, Lagos.
(B) ADVANCED DIPLOMA IN EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION:
DURATION OF COURSE: Six (6) months – 2 semesters.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants are required to be holders of the followings:
· National Certificate of Education(NCE)
· Higher National Diploma (HND)
· First Degree
FEES:N60,000.00 for tuition fee and N10,000.00 for course materials.
LECTURES WILL HOLD ON SATURDAYS FROM 9.00AM TO 5.00 PM.
VENUE: Faculty of Education, University of Lagos, Akoka-Yaba, Lagos.
METHODS OF APPLICATION
GUIDELINES FOR FILLING THE APPLICATION FORM:
1. Visit the Human Resources Development Centre website (hrdc.unilag.edu.ng)
Click on the 2012/2013 application.
2. Click the pre application form link; provide the required information and submit to obtain a Payment Voucher. You are expected to print out the payment voucher.
3. Make payment to any branch of the designated banks stated below:
· WEMA BANK PLC , ECO BANK PLC, ACCESS BANK PLC, FIRST BANK PLC at University of Lagos Branches only.
4. Applicants are expected to provide printed payment voucher for bank payments. Payment for Application Form is N5, 000.00 (Five Thousand Naira).
5. After payment, return to Human Resources Development Centre website (hrdc.unilag.edu.ng)
6. Click the 2012/2013 Application link, then Application Form Link, login with Payment Reference Number as username and provide surname in lowercase as password.
7. Click the Edit Application form link to fill the Application form and upload digital passport (jpeg format) which should not be more than 15kb in size and must be in white background. The acceptable dimension is width: 235 pixels or 35mm, height 314 pixels or 40mm (Failure to comply with specified image format may lead to disqualification).
8. Click “SUBMIT FORM” button if the information is correct, else click Decline button, After submission applicants will be required to print the completed Application Form
Note
· Kindly note that if payment is not made five (5) days after obtaining payment voucher, the pre-application would be declined. Applicants will then be expected to refill the pre-application form to obtain a new payment voucher.
SUBMISSION OF FORM AND COLLECTION OF ADMISSION LETTER:
Completed application forms are to be submitted at the Human Resources Development Centre not later than 28th October 2012. Admission letters for Shortlisted candidates are to be collected from the same office.
Letters of Admission will not be posted to individual candidates.

PAYMENT PROCEDURES:
Tuition and Course Material Fees are payable to the Human Resources Development Centre, University of Lagos, using the HRDC Students Fees Bank Teller which is available at Wema Bank, Eco Bank, Access Bank or First Bank at the University of Lagos branch only .
