Canadian Foreign Affairs Minister of, Mr. John Baird has expressed his country’s distaste over the spate of killings going on in Nigeria in recent times. Reacting specifically to the recent shootings at the Deeper Life Church in Okene, Kogi State, which left not less than twenty people dead, Mr Baird spared no words in expressing his thoughts.
The minister’s reaction was presented in the form of a statement which he made in Abuja. According to the statement, “I am deeply saddened by the cowardly murder by gunmen of parishioners, who were gathered in worship at a church in the town of Otite in Kogi State.
“Canada urges all people in Nigeria to work with the Nigerian government to counter terrorism and bring to justice those responsible for this reprehensible crime. No one should have to practice his or her faith in fear. Canada will continue to stand up for religious freedom.
“On behalf of all Canadians, I will like to extend my deepest sympathies to the families and friends of those killed in these attacks, and I wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
The Lord is about doing a great and mighty thing in Nigeria and He cannot be prevented by ANYBODY ANYWHERE.
If u are from kogi, pls start praying for urself and generations unborn for the blood of the saints shed in ur land.because unless Christ intervenes the blood will cry for generations.
