Brad Pitt’s Mom Buys Angelina Jolie Holy Bible as Wedding Gift

A bookseller in Brad Pitt’s native Missouri has fuelled speculation the actor’s wedding is imminent by revealing he sold the groom-to-be’s mother a special Bible as a gift for her son and his fiancee Angelina Jolie.

The couple became engaged earlier this year (12) but both Pitt and Jolie have made it clear they’re in no rush to wed.

However, it seems the nuptials are closer than most expected after Pitt’s mum, Jane, purchased a Bible as a wedding gift to her son and future daughter-in-law.

Mardel Christian & Education salesman Kris Burnett tells In Touch magazine that Jane Pitt bought the good book from him, revealing, “It was a special wedding gift. We prayed with Brad’s mum and sister over the Bible, asking the Lord to lead the way in Brad and Angelina’s life.”

Pitt and Jolie have yet to name the date for their wedding.

It’s the second time in as many weeks that Jane Pitt has made headlines – she recently wrote a letter to her local newspaper urging her fellow Christians to fully support Republican U.S. presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the November (12) election, and blasted his opponent, current leader Barack Obama, calling him “a liberal who supports the killing of unborn babies and same-sex marriage”.

She wrote: “Any Christian who does not vote or writes in a name (that isn’t Romney’s) is casting a vote for Romney’s opponent, Barack Hussein Obama – a man who… did not hold a public ceremony to mark the National Day of Prayer.”

Her stance came just a few months after her son opened up about his support for Obama in a candid cover story for The Hollywood Reporter.
