Rotary donates library, borehole to schools

AS part of activities marking its 10th anniversary, Rotary Club of Ikoyi Metro, Lagos, has donated an Electronic Library Centre, a borehole, and toilets to Aunty Ayo Junior Girls’ School, Keffi and Itolo Junior Girls’ Secondary School, Surulere.

At the event, District 9110 Governor of Rotary International, Kennedy Ejakpomehwe, warned that any society or nation, which failed to provide for its citizens, could not guarantee the safety of the rich and the privileged.

He urged political leaders to embrace the tenets of the Rotary, especially in the areas of peaceful, successful and successive leadership.

Ejakpomehwe also pleaded with concerned Nigerians to partner with credible non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in service delivery to complement government’s efforts at making life better for the people.
