Pastor Chris Okotie’s Church Releases Statement On His Divorce

The Household of God church has released a statement on the divorce of its founder, Chris Okotie.

The statement signed by the spokesman for the church, Pastor Ladi Ayodeji, stated: “Pastor of our church, the Household of God, Oregun, Lagos, Rev. Chris Okotie, announced his separation from Stephanie, his wife of four years, at the end of service last Sunday.”

Ayodeji, in the three-paragraph statement, said both parties arrived at this decision after careful review of the prevailing circumstances which pointed to the fact that it is the best option for them at this time, adding that both Pastor Okotie and his second wife, Stephanie, have agreed to be silent on detailed reasons for the separation.

“They also agreed not to divulge details of this incident for personal reasons,” the statement added.

Pastor Chris Okotie made the announcement on Sunday, saying “Stephanie and I are no longer married. We have separated. You can see she’s not in church today. It’s due to irreconcilable differences…you should please respect our wishes at this time because there is no going back”

“Pastor” chris has always been a disgrace to the body of Christ. His antics brings dishonour not only to christianity, but to God as well.

Iam a pastor like him and cant declare any verdict but Bible is our standard which okotie cannot claim he honoured.I think many pastors are preaching thier philosophy and not God’s message. When you fail maritally, you are not far from hell.I pray God will have mercy on him and restore him.

As for me i know and strongly believe that pastor kris okotie is one the fake pastors that is misleading people. in 2007 he said God reveal to him that he is going to be the next president of Nigeria, in 2009 same thing in 2011. he divorce his first wife and happily married to another, now he want to divorce the 2nd wife so dat he can mockingly married to the 3rd one. but nawa for this na9a people. he should continue but he should not allow other people to believe all pastors are same plsssssssss.

This is strange but as always I’d rather not judge cos no one here knows if God actually called him or not. Imagine what people those days would have said about the prophet Hosea (read ur bible if u don’t get my point). It is well.

It is quite distressing, the first was seen as a mistake. How do we excuse this from a man of God. Where is our testimony of God’s ability to solve all problem? God save the Church.

Silas has said it all…in addition, let every man know that s\he will be jugded by the word of God only. Nothing else.
@’Pastor Sunday Ola’…thot u said u didn’t want to pass verdict? What did u do eventually? Humans!
Jugde not folks, as tempting as it may be. Hold fast to the truth you’ve attained & let God!

Judge not, so dat u urself will not be judged; so says d Bible. This issue is simple, the part of d Bible that teaches issue relating to marriage should not be preach or talk about by Very Pastor Chris Okotie.
I personally find it very disappointing to hear that d wedding that was d talk of d town could hit d wall this quick. Pastor Chris should not try marriage d 3rd as dis may provoke God – God is a merciful father sha! Better luck Pastor!

The true story must be heard one day. The reason for divorcing his wife will one day be known. But as such is not suppose be related to him considering his status as a MOG.

Chris Okotie has not showcased the attibutes of a Man of God I’m not sorry to say. The bible is very clear on its position of divorce there’s no But or exeptions. If he looked up to God instead of ‘physical qualities (beauty) to find his life partner I don’t think he would have such ‘irreconcilable diffrences’. He has had a failed marraige before and I don’t think he is setting a good leadership example to the church period!

2Tim3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Tim3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
    2Tim4:1 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;
2Tim4:2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
    2Tim4:3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
2Tim4:4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2Tim4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Dear Rev. CO, tell the story sowe can take crrection.

Pastor Chris is my man,we all have weaknesses, that is the reason for grace. What we owe him is our prayers. Let’s not take the place of God and be too judgemental though the word still has its strong place. And the scriptures cannot be broken. He needs our prayers

This man is just after lust and he has had it to his fill with henshaw. As a pastor, Chris Okotie should be able to look after his home before the church. This is how the gold~digger wants to mislead Nigerians with his presidential aspiration. FAKE PASTOR

Many of you commenting here are just liars , cheats and hypocrites. Some of you are sleeping with other people’s wives and husbands and you are here judging another person.
Many of you are shouting ‘good example, good example’ but how many of you copy your own pastors?
Am talking of the honest, God-loving ones who preach good virtues and strive to live honest lives?
If you were copying them, wouldn’t Naija be a better place already?
At least, millions of you attend Oyedepo’s, Oyahkilome’s and Adeboye’s churches, so why havnt we seen an improvement in Nigeria and a drop in divorce rate from members of those churches?
Before you all start to say he paid me, am a catholic so I don’t send any of your churches. Even we get our own for body.
But next time, before you go picking the log out of another man’s eyes, remove the beam from yours…

Healthcare Workers To Receive Coca-Cola-Funded PPEs From Nigerian Red Cross

Since the outbreak of the Coronavirus disease in Nigeria, our healthcare workers have continued to lead the charge against the disease. As the number of recorded COVID-19 cases in Nigeria began to increase, these healthcare workers rose to the challenge and fought tirelessly to protect the lives of Nigerians impacted by the disease.

Considering the risks these healthcare workers face, there is a crucial need for adequate protective equipment for these brave frontline workers.

Coca-Cola is excited that over 400,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) procured to support the intervention efforts of the Nigerian Government and other key stakeholders to fight the COVID 19 pandemic have arrived. We do believe that this will to provide succor to our healthcare workers on the frontlines

These PPEs comprise N95 respirators, surgical masks, examination gloves, face shields, medical gowns, no-touch thermometers, disposable aprons, heavy-duty rubber gloves, rubber boots, basic masks, disposable gloves, and hand sanitizers.

Since the first confirmed case of the disease in Nigeria reported in February, over 800 healthcare workers have contracted the disease. While Nigerians are encouraged to stay home where possible and practice social distancing, these healthcare workers are needed across the country in the continued fight against the disease.

This donation forms part of The Coca-Cola Foundation’s COVID-19 relief interventions in Nigeria. The Coca-Cola Foundation has provided $2.5m in grant to IFRC who seeks to directly impact the lives of 1.4 million people in Nigeria and across other countries in West and Central Africa under this partnership.

Taking Care of Tomorrow’s Leaders Today – The itel, Lagos Food Bank Example

Waking up to a special meal or choice gift is the best feeling ever. Hundreds of children in Mushin, mainland Lagos, had a filling taste of this feeling for the October 1 st celebrations. It’s an experience they will remember for a long time.

Being one of the most responsible corporate citizens around, celebrating Independence Day was always going to be on the radar for itel Mobile. To make this possible and memorable, the brand got to work in earnest. The focus of the work was picking the best way to commemorate the 60th independence anniversary of the most populous black nation on earth.

The efforts soon paid off through an impact-driven partnership with the Lagos Food Bank Initiative. With the arrangement, both partners considered a couple of activities capable of affecting communities positively and bringing smiles to people’s faces in Lagos. At the end of the exercise, taking care of children, the leaders of tomorrow, in the commercial city secured the highest votes.

With the decision, itel Mobile set about making this happen. Not surprisingly, the decision was
influenced by giving children the means to excel and prepare them for leadership and nation-building, for them to enjoy better life. For the good of their immediate family, community and the Nigerian society.

Idiko, Mushin, a suburb of mainland Lagos, was chosen as the benefiting community. And the partners strategically reached out to the beneficiaries, children and families, with gifts of love, care, happiness and support made possible by the itel Love Always On CSR initiative.

Over 1,000 families benefited from the gesture as well as 600 children, and each one of them received food packages to celebrate Nigeria’s 60 th Independence Day commemoration.

Speaking on the event and itel’s Love Always On CSR Initiative, Oke Umurhohwo, itel’s Marketing Manager said, ‘We wanted to mark this year’s Independence Day celebrations differently, and that is why we did something so momentous for our children. Children are the backbone of any longstanding community, and as such, we are proud to be able to give back and support them on their journey as leaders of tomorrow and for a better life.’

To meet the demands of the memorable event, 30 volunteers joined the customer-centric brand and the Lagos-based NGO to share smiles, and to convey just how important it is to love and take care of today’s children who will ultimately become leaders of tomorrow.

With the thoughtful activity, there are insights for everyone, from the government to citizens, on partnerships that are capable of making life better for children. Indeed, itel Mobile and the Lagos Food Bank Initiative have offered a great template on bringing this to reality.
