Aviation authority refutes grounding Air Nigeria

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has refuted reports that it has grounded operations of Air Nigeria.

A statement from the regulator of the Nigerian airspace claimed that it is only looking into the maintenance schedule of air line operators, after resumption from its five day strike.

The spokesman of NCAA, Mr Samuel Adurogboye says this is part of the authority’s plan to ensure that aircrafts are air worthy.

It will be recalled that Air Nigeria was grounded by its engineers due to an industrial action over welfare concern.
